Craft Britain: Why Making Matters

We are extremely pleased that Gareth’s work has been featured in the latest book from Helen Chislett & David Linley.

The book itself explores craft as the heart of the British identity, covering everything from stained-glass windows to thatched houses, from ceremonial wear to sand printed vessels. Chislett and Linley have explored the burgeoning digital craftsmanship as well as covering a myriad of craft traditions. We are delighted therefore that the Si02 Tall Sand Vessel is featured on the front cover.  

Both Chislett and Linley need little introduction: Helen is a journalist / author whose writing encompasses everything from art and architecture to design and decoration. She contributes regularly to publications such as the FT, the Telegraph Magazine, the Observer and Home and Gardens. David Linley - The Earl of Snowden - became well known for his luxury interiors and furniture. He is currently the Chairman for Christie’s and Vice President of The Prince’s Foundation.
