Pedestal Oak Dining Table
We designed this oak dining table for a private client. As with all private commissions, the success of the project comes from really listening to their wants and needs while integrating the design process and aesthetic they have come to us for. The project began with an intuitive understanding of process and materials, and how to unearth the natural qualities and characteristics of wood. Using digital fabrication technology, we produced a sinuous table pedestal who’s texture demonstrate subtleties produced by machines. The result was such a success we were invited, to exhibit it in Chatsworth House for their first contemporary applied arts exhibition, in association with Sotheby’s.
The Pedestal Table was exhibited alongside the Hamylin Chairs designed in collaboration with Bill Amberg Studios.
